The mat is designed for your rig to fit perfectly on and it does just that. The mat also has a very nice feel and finish to it. I would describe it like a massive mouse pad for your sim rig with the feel and padding that of a mouse pad which makes wiping and cleaning it much easier that a traditional carpet type mat. I suspect my rig will leave indents in the mat over time because of the type of material and padding used but it's not gunna be moving much and my rig is always centered on the mat so that won't really be noticeable.
The RGB. The lights are a cool touch and give the mat a cool highlight. It is important to note that you have to be extremely careful with the edge of the mat as rolling over the light strip or crushing it by setting anything heavy on it can damage the light strip on the edge of the mat. The packaging and instructions have a warning about this so be careful.
For some reason right out of the box I found that my rgb on my mat has certain colors that seem more powerful or brighter than others. I did not miss handle or do anything that could damage the lights. The blue color setting in particular only half the mat lights up, sorta a bummer because blue is my favorite color. All the other color settings work and look great.
I attached photos of the blue vs red so you can see the difference in brightness. Its possible trak racer dosnt like the color blue lol
